What Play requires

Phone screenshots must be between 320 px and 3840 px on each side, no wider than a 2:1 ratio, and you need at least two to publish. Every preset here produces a size that satisfies those rules, so the export cannot fail validation on dimensions.

The first two are the ones that matter

Only the first two screenshots appear without scrolling on most devices. Treat them as the only ones a casual browser will see, and lead with the feature that makes someone install. The rest are for people already interested.

Captions do the work

A raw screenshot asks the viewer to work out what they are looking at. A short caption above it tells them. Keep it to a few words describing the benefit rather than the UI — "Everything in one place" beats "Home screen".

About the device frame

The frame drawn here is a generic rounded rectangle, not a picture of any particular handset. That is deliberate: Play's rules discourage listing images that imply a device manufacturer's endorsement, and real device photographs carry trademark complications. A neutral frame gives you the depth without the risk.

Nothing is uploaded

Your screenshots are drawn on a canvas in your own browser and zipped locally. They are never transmitted anywhere.
